Stock 2007 XT-225,
Picked up in 09, with 90 miles on it.
Put in new battery, changed oil 2 times in the next 30 miles,
then changed oil & filter at around 120 mi.
After that oil change 500 miles.
Use ONLY, 'Non Oxy' gas. (91 oct)

Other things not in photos:
3/4" Z-1 Mod, (cause that was the size of the long drill bit I had)
No carb adjustments, starts 'Right Now', and runs Just fine.
Trail Tack
CM Center Stand,
Front LED Blinker & indicator lights,
'Bar' type Red LED brake light added.
Wind screen is standard Spit Fire for 7/8" bars,
Piece of wood, with a 7/8" hole drilled through,
the size of your wrist,
cut in half, the two pieces screwed through the wood,
and a 10 dollar 'Mart-Mart' watch, for a clock !
Over sized foot pegs.
Piece of old tire, attached to end of kick stand,
for wider footprint.

Planning on 16 tooth front sprocket,
and 80 (road)/20(dirt) tires.

Above is a LED Blinker light on the Left side of the bike, and a incandescent one on the right.
The, LCD is much brighter.
When I switched both fronts, Not the rears, they blinked faster, but not to fast.
The 'gun' on the back of the helmut,
part of a bumper sticker, from a 'gun' company.

Close up of the oil sender unit I drilled and threaded into the oil drain cap.
That was for the Trail Trak.
I have since put in a, 'standard' Oil temp sensor, and a car type oil temp gauge,
Oil temps are in the 220's normally, and 260's on a hot day and a hard run.
Also in line with the 'stick on' temp gauges on each side of the case.

Showing Much Less than the Trail Tack 'sender' unit which was in the 320's.

Oil above 300 is TOAST, after 2 hours !!!!

Put LED bulbs in the indactor lights, (Much Brighter)
And also put a little red light in the space provided, which also flashes,
when ever any blinker in on. (It really gets your attention).

Extensions for the wind screen. Just Hardware Store rod.

A Piece of old aluminum lawn chair arm, put of the end of the exaust to turn it down.
If you look at the 3rd photo down from this,
(That is the old, 'turn down' a piece of copper pipe fitting)
Because I put a piece of bright refector aluminum behind the Lic plate,
the straight exaust, (bounced) off that,
so I 'turned it down".

Mirror Extentions, Wider so I can actually see behind me.
I tapped a piece of Aluminum,
and threaded the cuts of the mirrors.

A Wood, PROTOTYPE, for attaching two ammo type cans to.
Haven't gotten arround to making a proper one yet.

Also a larger Tool Tube, made from some scrap PVC pipe.

Carry rear rack, (Bryons, on the XT225.com Web Page) and a gun case,
bolted to it for mail and the like.
And with the bungie cords, a 24 pack of beer cans,
fits on top nicely !
(Since this photo, a bigger, nicer 'gun' case)

Stuff below, just photos.
A simple place to put them,
so they can be listed on a forum.

Above is a, 'adaptor' for a 'smart' battery charger.
It plugs into leads, which are wired to battries. like a Tender,
but uses a regular battery charger.
